Pastor's Thoughts Jul 5 2009 Archive |

They have begun a new phase in their service. They’ve put over 250 people to work. They serve hundreds of others everyday. They have the potential to serve thousands. There is hope that their service will do great things for Princeton. They are able to serve not only Princeton, but also surrounding cities and counties. No. I’m not talking about Wal-Mart. I’m talking about Calvary Baptist Church. First
of all, allow me to say that it is an honor to be your pastor.
Thanks to all those who have offered an encouraging word,
building up my wife and me. We
have begun a new phase in our service.
It won’t be just exactly the way it used to be.
It’s a different time, an exciting time.
The church role that I have lists 430.
And that’s not people. That’s
families! Can you imagine?
430 born-again families! And
we are to be at work, with a service much greater, deeper and
more precious than Wal-Mart. 1
Corinthians 15:58 says, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be
steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing
that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” The members of Calvary Baptist Church have been busy doing the work of the Father. But there is potential for more. We could be serving others and spreading the gospel to thousands. Calvary Baptist Church is not just a place to go on Sunday morning. It is a family of believers that serves the Lord every day of the week. There is hope that through the service of His faithful saints, filled with the Spirit, God will do great things for Princeton and beyond. Can Calvary create the same community buzz as Wal-Mart? No. It can be much greater, all for the glory of the Lord
